A Note From Meg Lokey, Executive Director of The Payton Wright Foundation
This time of year, we naturally think of the things for which we are thankful. For us, at The Payton Wright Foundation, it’s the devoted friends, volunteers, and donors that allow us to help families when they need it most.
This month, I had the pleasure of launching a brand new program for our families, the Presents for Payton’s Angels Program. When families are dealing with a child’s brain cancer treatment, the bills pile up and most parents have to take leave from work… some have to quit their jobs completely to care for their child. These families may have to make the hard choice between paying for their household bills and buying Christmas presents for their children. This isn’t a decision they should have to make so we are going to make this Christmas extra special for them.
We need your help by signing up to buy presents for these families. Each child has made a wish list for Christmas and we want to make sure they get those things they so deserve after a long hard year dealing with cancer… And we aren’t leaving their siblings out. They made wishlists too. We aren’t going to stop until all the gifts on these lists are purchased so sign up to help us buy gifts today!
Another exciting opportunity coming up is #GivingTuesday on Tuesday, November 27th. Help us by creating your own Facebook fundraiser and they will match donations made up to a certain amount! Parents with children facing some of the most terrible diagnoses turn to The Payton Wright Foundation for help.

We will need volunteers for a few upcoming activities.
The Payton Wright Foundation is 100% community funded to help families whose children have pediatric brain or spinal cord cancer. We work with hospital social workers to find families that are struggling financially because caring for a child with cancer often requires a leave from work. We pay these family's bills, like rent, utility bills, car payments, so that they can spend their time focusing on their child. If you would like to help us with this mission please donate now!
