Your Generosity and Support Makes a Difference!
Thank you is a statement that is not used too lightly here at The Payton Wright Foundation. We are grateful and appreciative for all the support we have been given over the years. It is difficult to fully express gratitude of how much your donations and support have meant to us and the families we help. A child’s cancer diagnosis is a source of parental distress and results in an altered life situation for the family. The child usually requires weekly or daily treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation/proton therapy, PT/OT/SLP therapies, etc. Parents are forced to take time from work, reduce working hours or give up paid work to care for their child. Unfortunately, in many cases, due to the amount of time a parent has had to take time off, they are then let go from their job. Without that income, families struggle to pay their household bills. Because of you and the support that is given, The Payton Wright Foundation can help ease the burden that families face so that they can focus on what is important…their child.

Understanding the Need
Brain tumors represent the of care for any cancer group with an average annual cost of $150,000; and the highest cost for last-year-of-life care (relative to other cancers) at $135,000 to $210,000 highest per-patient initial cost.
Approximately 13 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with a brain tumor each day.
Brain and CNS tumors are the leading cause of cancer related deaths among children, surpassing leukemia.
Brain tumors are the most common solid cancer in children ages 0-14 years.
More than any other cancer, brain tumors can have lasting and life-altering physical, cognitive, and psychological impacts on a patient’s life.
