Hello everyone,

Well Thanksgiving weekend is over and on to the next Holiday.  Once again a tough year putting up the tree, decorations and lights.  We were completely exhausted Sunday evening and said to each other not bad for two depressed people.  We both just want to get it done as fast as we can so we don't have much time to think about it.  Anyway, just about finished with another year and again can't wait to get out of 2010.  One of these times we might say that this year was a good one and look forward to another great year.  These last few years have just been horrible.  2011???  come on already!!

We are a few days away from David Nail coming back to help us raise awareness for Payton's Foundation and pediatric brain cancer.  MacAllister's St. Andrew's event is this Saturday the 4th on Main Street in Lakewood Ranch.  If you are in town please come out and join us, should be a great night.  I know last year was awesome and even got a kilt to wear again.

It has been some time since we have blogged on Payton's site.  With all the Social Media like Facebook it has been tough.  I need to figure out how I can get the updates on Twitter and Facebook to automatically update Payton's site.

We have been very busy this year so far with events and visiting children's hospitals.  So far we have visited and donated to children's hospitals at Duke, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, UF, All Children's in St. Pete, and Boston.  All great hospitals and are doing such great things for kids with brain cancer and other diseases.  These visits are invaluable to us as it gives us an idea of what is going on out there in the realm of protocols, needs and care for children and their families.  It is very hard to see the little kids as many remind us so much of Payton, but giving back is so important. 

We are working on several awesome fundraising events for the end of this year and next.  The next one up is the Michael Israel "Ignite Your Senses" fundraising event on October 29th, 2011 at the Hyatt in Sarasota.  Just check out how cool this is going to be www.michaelisrael.com

We also are working on two events with the Pirates sponsored by Blalock Walters Law Firm.  First is a corporate softball tournament at Pirate City in Bradenton.  Corporate sponsored teams of 10-15 players on a team will compete.  It will be a family day with food, drink and games for the kids.  I think we have a date of November 19th.  More information to follow.  We are also working on a concert after a Spring Training game with the Pirates in Feb/Mar, not sure the date yet, but probably a Saturday afternoon game.  Hoping to have Country Star David Nail perform afterwards.
